To the regulars of Fade Street, Hen’s Teeth has become not only a studio and shop – but a cultural hang out spot for Dublins creatives.
The space has championed both local artists and those abroad – giving Irish talent a platform to create, sell and make a living off their work. All whilst running creative events and exhibitions, as well as operating as a shop and studio.
Now in with Dublin’s current political climate making it harder for creative growth and every creative knook and cranny being demolished and turned into a Wework or a hotel of some sort – it’s important to promote those who are fighting against the unification of Crane City. That’s why when we heard of Hen’s Teeth crowdfunding plea to open a new permanent gallery and cultural space in Dublin 8 we felt obliged to share.
The shops short-term lease has come to the end and the team of creatives are moving ship to to the end of Fumbally Lane in Dublin 8, aiming to set up a new culture and arts event space.
The gang are aiming to raise €40,000 by the end of September and you can pledge HERE #forabettercity
