Dekmantel - 5Heroes

The five up and coming acts you need to see at this year's festival...

From Thursday 30th of July until Sunday August 2nd, Dekmantel will be hosting some of the biggest names in electronic music in Amsterdam over the course of four days.

Taking place at Amsterdamse Bos just outside of the city, the main festival runs close to midnight hosting heavy hitters such as Ricardo Villalobos, Motor City Drum Ensemble, and Dixon.
At night, the party moves to Melkweg until the early hours accompanied by the likes of DJ Harvey, Omar S, Derrick May and more.
Dekmantel isn’t just a festival about the big names though. Here are five acts we recommend you check out if you weren't planning on it already.

Call Super

Berlin producer Call Super is one of the more exciting acts on this year’s line up. Not a stranger to variety, expect to hear the freakish side of techno infused with Italo and electronica.

Intergalactic Gary

By all means not a stranger to a party, Intergalactic Gary demonstrates his vast knowledge and experience of music through seamlessly mixing disco, house and all things cosmic. Born John Scheffer is also known for DJing with peers such as Legowelt, I-F, Mick Wills and more.

Palms Trax

Fresh from closing the well renowned Panorama Bar for the first time, youngster Palms Trax will be treating Dekmantel to his original take on House and Techno. With releases on Dekmantel’s own label itself, in addition to Lobster Thermin and more, Palms Trax has already made it known he is around for the long haul.

Veronika Vasika

Minimal Wave boss-lady is known for her personal flavour of cold sounding, post-punk influenced music. Her much anticipated set on the Sunday of the festival will no doubt have many listening to countless copies of her “Minimal Wave Tapes” in preparation.

DJ Fett Burger

Easily one of the more interesting DJs on the lineup and within the scene at the moment, DJ Fett Burger will be representing the Norwegian label Sex Tags Mania with his specific leftfield brand of party music on Sunday night at Melkweg, alongside Huerco S, Prosumer, Tama Sumo and more.
