Breaka takes on the Wigwam Basement
London born Charlie Baker aka Breaka joins us in the Wigwam basement on April 22nd alongside two extremely talented selectors DJ Egg and Rob Rua
Breaka’s signature sound showcases bassy goodness and unique rhythms honed to perfection through spending many years as a drummer before delving into garage and breaks production. He first turned heads with his release “Rory’s Theme/Puffer Jackets” on “Holding Hands Records” a 130 bpm, atmospheric, baseline and breaks masterpiece. With this release on the books he quickly capitalised on his new found success with a string of impressive releases garnering support from DJs such as Sherelle, Darwin & Re:ni and Call Super before opting to start his own label “Breaka Recordings” which also found success in the years to come with 5 releases so far.
Whether on his regular radio show or at club nights across the UK, Break is known for high octane, peak time sets and for blending his own productions while also crossing electronic music genres fluidly, evident from his Keep Hush sets and his many outstanding releases and remixes.
This is a gig we’ve been looking forward to for a long time as Breaka is not known to disappoint, get your tickets while you can !!
