Simbad

Simbad May 12, 2008

Simbad is one of our favourite producer/DJs in the house scene at the moment and creating some very exciting new sounds having collaborated & remixed with a wide range of artists including Tony Allen, Roy Ayers, Bugz in the Attic & Marque Gilmore. His sophomore album “Supersonic Revelation” was released on Raw Fusion late last year with tracks being picked up by all sorts of acts from Giles Peterson to Laurent Garnier. Simbad has also completed a remix of BDI’s “Brooklyn to LA” on our very own Scribble label.

The biggest Influence in my Life...Between every human being I’ve ever met, mostly females, musicians & freaks... Oh and previous Civilisations circa 3000-5000 BC

The internet... is pretty dope although Wi-Fi (wireless) radio waves are f*ckin unhealthy & are creatin' changes in our DNA (Yea, crazy!!!).

If I could turn back time...I wouldn’t hahaha!

My first gig... was in a squat party, pretty good actually!

The funniest thing I ever heard... is that we're alone in this Universe... Hahaha, you fool !!

Food and music... Oh man it goes together, I love cookin' and usually good musicians/DJs are good cooks... Big up my friends in da studios & in da kitchens!!!

The best food in the world... can be found in Japan, France, Italy...or imported... But best is to grow your own innit???

One place you should definitely visit...The Sahara desert

The happiest moment...should be everyday, love like there's no tomorrow!

The best advice I ever got... was from an old sax teacher who once told me: 'Yea that’s it kid, just use your ear! Always trust your ears' :-)
