!K7 Launch New Urban Label

The Berlin based indie label !K7 has created an urban orientated label called Gold Dust Media.

!K7 reps say “Gold Dust offers a new family of dynamic American artists a global platform to release their music through !K7’s sales and marketing structure”.

Some of the first signings to the label include hip hop artists People Under The Stairs (pictured), Large Professor, Zion I and the Outlawz.

The label joins !K7s other label friends BBE/Rapster, Ever Records and Strut and is A&R’d by Dave Watkins from New York.

The CEO of !K7 Horst Weidenmueller explains “At the moment there is no other U.S. label focusing on urban music with an international marketing and distribution network, Gold Dust has huge potential.

The label is also due to release a documentary DVD on the Notorious B.I.G in the near future.
