Defected Hits The Airwaves
Independent house music label “Defected” is set to get its own radio show on the Galaxy FM schedule.
The London based label was founded in 1998 by Simon Dunmore and Janet Bell and has been the home to acts such as Bob Sinclair, Junior Jack, ATFC, Sandy Rivera and Masters At Work.
The labels original monthly podcasts had downloads of over 25,000 prompting Galaxy to offer the label a weekly digital radio show which ran for 12 months.
Now the station has done one better and offered Defected a Saturday time slot from midnight to 2am.
The show is called “In the House” named after Defected’s Dj led competition. The 2 hour program will be presented by Aaron Ross the former BBC 1 Xtra presenter and international DJ.
Every week Defected will invite an international DJ to the show where they will do a 60 minute uninterrupted mix.
For those of you who don’t live in the UK, you can check the show out online on Galaxy’s webpage.
