Highgrade Turns 50
Berlin label Highgrade Records celebrates its 50th release this month by releasing a complitation called “Our Thing”.
Founded by Tom Clark (pictured) in 2000, the label has showcased the best of the Berlin underground scene with releases from James Flavour, Sven Brede, Dub Taylor and Sebo K.
The label, which has a strong affiliation with minimal techno, plans to release some more material in the coming months covering all genres of music.
Even though Clark owns and runs the label, he believes Highgrade to be more of a collective of like minded artists and Djs who just happen to be close friends.
The compilation comes out as an unmixed CD and double vinyl pack on May 5th.
