POGO rolls into it's 3rd year with a tasty little underground-ish line-up featuring a live set from Modern Love’s Claro Intelecto & long-time Detroit ghetto-tech legend DJ Godfather, as well as sets from POGO’s two head residents Barry Redsetta & Nic James alongside Melodee & the A$$quake posse and Digitonic's VJ Jezebel lacing up some nice eye candy.
Since our bumper 2nd Birthday last year with Adam Beyer & DJ Yoda, one of our main goals has been to put on as many new, exciting & breaking acts as possible which has seen the likes of The Ting Tings (soon to be massive!), Pantha Du Prince, The Whip, Friendly Fires, Andy Stott, Apparat, King Khan & the BBQ Show & Jay Haze all playing. Of course we've had some of our favourite superstars in to play as well like Carl Craig, Andrew Weatherall, LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy & local favourite Donnacha Costello, as well as some the more out of the club norm acts like 20 piece Parisian Samba band Sambatuc just last month, whacky alternative Australian hip-hop band the Resin Dogs, and performances from breakdancing crews, MCs, African drum circles. Local acts who’ve played over the last year include Scott Logan, Hooray For Humans, Giveamanakick, Neon Love DJs, Siphon (FVF), Aleko, The Mighty Stef, Hugo Johnson, DJ Baz, Niall Power, The Real Junk, Cap-Pas-Cap, Reach DJs, The War Lords of Pez & many more.
So it's really been an incredible year for us and a lot of fun - thanks to everyone who's been coming down and making the atmosphere rocking :) We're looking forward to this 3rd Bday celebration and leaping into another year of fun & action packed POGO-ing.
Tickets for the gig are available from www.tickets.ie & City Discs.
