HENRIK SCHWARZ LIVE (INNERVISIONS, DE)
MANTECA (Latin American Salsa Band)
JB the DEEJAY
TAYOR & RU
SANDINO DJs
Saturday 12th April 2008
11pm-3am
It's been a long time coming but we've finally managed to pull in one of our current all round favourite Bodytonic guests to date, HENRIK SCHWARZ, for a live show. Originally due to play for us over a year ago, Henrik had to pull all his tour dates as his wife was due with their baby. Since getting back on the touring circuit Henrik has been in big demand worldwide for both his live shows & remix skills. Possibly Europe's answer to Carl Craig, Henrik has produced some of the most exciting & fresh sounding house tracks & remixes over the last few years, including re-works of James Brown & Stevie Wonder. His "Live" album was just released earlier this year on Innervisions (home to Dixon & Ame) and we can't get enuff of it here. We're very excited about this one.
The POGO resident's move aside to let Stereotonic's Tayor & Ru in on support for Mr Schwarz.
Adding to the quality music mix we've a little something different for POGO Live; we've teamed up with LASC (the Latin American Solidarity Centre) to present their monthly club session & fundraiser - Club Sandino. Latin American Salsa band Manteca are on stage for an proper hip wigglin & skirt lifting salsa show while their DJs provide the Latin sounds to keep you dancin before & after.
In the Pub JB the Deejay holds it down solo rippin up his choice of funk/soul/hip-hop & party joints.
